The story behind every product
Every product we sell is something we'd have bought for Rivo β our golden retriever who taught us what truly caring for a pet looks like. Here's how Smartrivo came to be.
The Beginning
Meet Rivo π
On a rainy Tuesday in 2019, a scruffy golden retriever mix was adopted from a shelter outside Dallas, Texas. He was skinny, nervous, and absolutely perfect. We named him Rivo β short for "revival" β because that's what he felt like.

The Problem
A Texas summer and no real solution
That first summer, Rivo was visibly overheating on walks. We searched every store and website for a cooling mat that actually worked, wasn't toxic, and didn't cost a fortune. The options were either cheap junk or way out of budget. Something had to change.
The Experiment
Three prototypes and a very patient dog π§ͺ
We spent months researching materials, testing pressure-activation gel, and watching Rivo give his honest review (tail wags = pass, ignored = fail). On the third prototype, Rivo walked in circles, then lay down on it and didn't move for two hours. We cried a little.

Smartrivo goes live
